Devops senior engineer

We're a Digital Company, fully remote and office-less. We are passionate about designing and developing cloud-based applications and scalable, performant micro-services that very often integrate with APIs.

For the past 2 years we worked with clients from Energy, Travel, E-commerce and Retail companies accelerate their ability to take advantage of new business models and market opportunities. We have more than 40 employees located in 8 countries in Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, India, Italy, Moldova, Portugal, United Kingdom.

The Role:

Automate build and deployment processes in a cloud hosting environment
Cloud infrastructure hands-on experience
Develop and manage scripts and tools for deployment of new servers and service
Develop monitoring and alerting strategies
Monitoring dashboards
Work with different provisioning technologies
Work with Linux and Python scripting
Install and maintain common services
Work with the team to understand and implement project requirements
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product business requirements and recommend best practices
Document processes implemented within the project and ensure proper handoff to engineering teams
Participate in capacity planning exercises for future needs and projects
Manage environments in cloud (AWS and Azure) – Dev&QA
Be in charge of: Automate Build process (Build, Run Unit tests, Run sonar quality scan, Build artifact) and Deployment process
Release artifacts process
Proactively monitor and maintain production applications availability
Act as first-line responders to critical application/platform issues (E.g. Application availability, transaction failures)
Collaborate with the team and others to resolve tickets, act as a point of contact for teams that require data, logs, configuration, info from the protected payment systems
Identify areas of improvement with regards to recurring support requests and areas that can be automated

Requirements:
Experience with:

AWS (preferable) or other public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
Docker, building and deploying containers
PHP experience (latest versions - PHP8 would be an advantage)
Kubernetes
Python, Bash or Golang scripting is desirable
Docker is highly desirable
Terraform, Cloudformation or Ansible is desirable
Gitlab CI and AWS CodePipeline or other CI/CD tools is considered a plus
Linux: provisioning, configuration
Networking (TCP/IP, DNS) Web servers: Apache, nginx
Monitoring and alerting software like Nagios, ZABBIX, Datadog, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk, others
With at least one of virtualization technologies: VMware, Xen, KVM
DB servers ([No]SQL): MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch
Designing and implementing highly available production environments
Testing and validation of systems before reaching production
Ability to understand business requirements and provide technical solution
4-5+ years’ experience in the field*
Experience implementing Continuous Delivery flows for Java and/or .NET applications
Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, others)
Excellent understanding of Infrastructure, Virtualization, Containers, Networking

Knowledge of:

Site Reliability Engineering
Microservices
Docker
Webpack
TDD approach
Mobile-first approach

Would be a plus:
Architecting Cloud solutions
Container Orchestration systems
Understanding of Microservices Architecture principles
