At Simplifa, we believe Elevators must run more than 360 days a year. To achieve that, we are about to equip all elevators with a network of sensors to monitor, assest and predict issues of the most critical parts of an elevator.

We are looking for an IoT enthusiastic engineer in our office in Berlin who will be co-responsible for:

​Edge device
+ Operating System (embedded Linux with Yocto)
+ Business Logic (Python 3.x)
+ Bash scripting
+ Linux services (systemd)
+ Signal processing
+ Machine Learning Pipeline
+ Hardware (Sensors/Device)

Cloud Stack
+ Architecture of IoT/ML services/pipelines
+ Device management
+ OTA Updates of OS and applications (Rauc & Hawkbit)
+ Implementation of IoT/ML services/pipelines with IaC approach
+ Running IoT/ML services/pipelines

This includes areas and parts like:
+ Writing, testing and deploying code in Python
+ Co-designing and owning the architectural decisions and deployment of IoT Services (AWS IoT Core/ Analytics/ Greengrass)
+ Monitoring, Debugging and Troubleshooting on several thousands of devices
+ Making sure the Machine Learning Models run well on the edge devices

YOUR PROFILE
We think you will need to have or to build knowledge in areas like:
+ Testing and selecting hardware
+ MQTT protocol
+ Linux Shell
+ Over the air updates
+ Secure boot/Trusted Platform Modules
+ AWS IoT Cloud Platform
+ Python
+ SQL/NoSQL DB
+ Docker, CI
+ Good English
