Senior Java Software Engineer

TinyEmail™ is a grown startup in the internet marketing searching in growing talents to be
a part of our great team. We are based in Canada and Moldova, first version of our product is focused on North America + EU market and we are planning to extend it world wide.


What will you do?

We are looking for a skilled Java Software Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business requirements using all best practices concepts.
The team works in an agile environment and plays a big part of the release cycle - from planning, design to actual release to production.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the development team to discuss technical solutions and applications.
• Reviewing application requirements and design/architect technical solutions.
• Developing, implementing unit testing, deploying business requirements.
• Troubleshooting software and debugging application codes.
• Monitoring and improving application performance.
• Documenting application changes and developing updates.


Requirements:

• At least 5 years of proven experience as Java Developer
• In-depth knowledge of Java language (8 at least), SpringBoot (2.*)
• Experience working with
◦ relational DB (especially PostgreSQL )
◦ non-relational DB (especially MongoDB)
◦ Microservices environment (K8+Docker+AWS+S3).
◦ Kafka
◦ Hibernate + Spring Data Jpa
◦ maven + bitbucket
◦ Kibana or other similar tools
• Good understanding of 12 factor apps and SOLID principals
• BI/Metrics tools (ex: Preomtheus, Grafana, AWS QuickSight etc)
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins / AWS CodePipeline)
• DevOps skills are a big plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good spoken and written English is required.
• Ability to work well independently, as well as with a team.
• Analytical mind with business acumen.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or other related fields.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process (JIRA is a plus)
• Previous experience working in B2B/B2C SaaS environment preferred
