Construction Assistants at Atmex limited provides support to the effective completion of all construction projects handled by Atmex limited. In this role, you own all the processes for material delivery and recovery logistics, design and planning of projects this includes but is not limited to, the inventory, delivery, ordering, returns, documentation and communication of activities regarding project material for the Small Business Program. Our Construction Assistants are the type of individuals who work well independently and take pride in what they do, have excellent organizational skills, are proficient with Basic computer needs and can accurately and efficiently coordinate logistics. Our Construction Assistants contributions to the team include:
• Contribution to designing and planning of projects at hand
• Managing inventory and the processes involved with all items held in inventory, as well as maintaining a well-organized warehouse.
• Receiving, documenting, and properly accounting for the delivery of all material ordered that is not shipped directly to the customer site.
• Reviewing all Purchase Orders (i.e. project, rush, follow-up, replacement, and warranty) and ensuring proper management of Purchase Order submissions to the Program Supplier.
• Overseeing material delivery; reviewing each pulled material order, providing proper notification of back ordered items and maintaining an up-to-date ‘Back Order List’, and coordinating any un-resolved material issues (i.e. shortages, errors, damaged, etc.).
• Providing support to the Construction Team to resolve Project Purchase Order issues and material back-order issues.
• Coordinating and maintaining documentation for the return of materials to include coordinating the pick-up for materials and processing for credit.
• Overseeing and managing recyclables to include managing issues with Program Recycler.
• Managing all phases of submitted Warranty Work Orders to include, returning defective material back to the vendor.
• Performing install of the Warranty Work Orders as required.
The core components for applicants for this position (i.e. must haves):
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in project coordination, inventory management, construction field, or related experience
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical, civil,structural, geotechnical or Mechanical Engineering or related.
• At least 1 year of experience in construction or project management for a general contractor or related.

• Computer skills; proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially MSExcel, and a proven ability to learn new technologies

The work environment:
As a Construction Assistant you will spend the majority of your time working within a warehouse setting which requires frequent standing and walking, along with an awareness of potential hazardous conditions. You will also occasionally need to reach above your shoulders, bend, climb, lift up to 50 lbs. and use a pallet jack. Some of your time will also be spent in an office setting requiring you to sit and utilize a computer. Additionally, approximately 20% of your time will include travel to customer sites which requires driving. While on customer sites the environment can vary and there is potential to be exposed to hazardous conditions, extreme temperatures and/or dusty or noisy conditions; although this is rare. The position frequently communicates with customers and co-workers and must be able to exchange accurate information in an understandable way.

The travel required for this position is local travel (jobsite to jobsite) approximately 60% of the time.
